I found this recipe on Pinterest (duh) but it's actually a Pillsbury recipe! If you like pizza, you'll like this one. If you don't like pizza, kindly excuse yourself and reevaluate your life.
I assume it's called "Bubble Bread" because it rises into little bubbles of bread when it's baking...whatever the reason for the name, it's good stuff.
Ingredients:
1 can of Pillsbury biscuits
1 jar of pizza sauce
1 cup of mozzarella cheese
Desired toppings (pepperoni, sausage, etc)
Onion powder
Garlic powder
Dried basil
The gist:
Cut the biscuit dough into quarters and toss the pieces in 1 cup of pizza sauce.
Place the dough pieces/sauce mixture in the bottom of a baking dish. Spread em as evenly as you can.
Bake at 375 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
Add desired amount of cheese, toppings, garlic powder, onion powder, and basil. Cook for another 5 minutes until cheese is melted.
Civilized people would probably put this on a plate. I ate it out of the pan...because, well, the plate just slowed down my process. It was delicious!
If you need a quick "throw it together" kind of dinner, this is it!
I hope everyone had a nice Memorial Day weekend!
